How it works

From GPS files to a map you actually want to look at.

No spreadsheets. No manual entry. Just a beautiful picture of where you have been and what is next.

Connect Strava

TrailTracker automatically pulls in your latest rides from Strava. Upload .gpx files if you prefer.

We match runs and trails

TrailTracker analyzes your tracks and figures out exactly which runs you skied and which trails you rode.

See what is left

Your resort and mtb maps light up with everything you have done and everything you still have to chase.

Every run, lift, and trail on one map.

Completed runs are highlighted on your resort map so you can spot the gaps at a glance. Filter by date, resort, or activity type to see your season come together.

  • Automatic run and trail detection
  • Resort coverage across North America
  • Works with Strava and raw GPS files

Click any trail to see your progress on the map.

Select a trail in the list and the map jumps to it, highlighted in yellow so you can see exactly how much of the line you have ridden and what is still left.

  • Completion percentages for every trail in the sidebar
  • Use all rides in your history or your best single ride
  • Overlay your GPS tracks on the trail network
FAQ

Common questions

Quick answers about what TrailTracker supports today.

What is the point of TrailTracker?
TrailTracker was created so a user could keep track of which ski runs they have done in an attempt to complete all the ski runs on a given mountain. Depending on the mountain, this can be very easy or very difficult. After the ski season was over we branched out to include mountain biking as well. Mountain biking is less resort focused, so the implementation is more about completing all the trails near where you live (or any arbitrary location you care about).
What do I need to do to track my activities?
Use any GPS device to record your activity. Then you can either upload that .gpx file directly to trailtracker.io after you have created an account or, if your GPS device is already connected to Strava, you can simply connect your TrailTracker account to your Strava account, and we will pull in new activities automatically.
Am I able to upload past activities?

Yes! There are two ways.

  1. If you have all your activities in Strava already, you can simply connect your Strava account to your TrailTracker account once you have logged into trailtracker.io. We will pull all of your historical data automatically.
  2. If you have access to your .gpx files you can simply upload them to trailtracker.io. Don't worry, you can select multiple files at once when uploading.
What parts of the world can I track?
Ski/Snowboard are currently compatible with USA and Canada, while Mountain Biking is only compatible with USA trails at this time. Contact us for locations you would like added.
What sports can I track?
Currently we offer ski/snowboard tracking as well as mountain bike tracking.
